Hello, I'm Rachel, originally from California but now proudly calling Texas home. Growing up, I was deeply involved in sports like gymnastics, softball, basketball, and competitive swimming, which instilled in me a sense of discipline and a love for competition. At just 16, I began pet sitting in my neighborhood, eagerly seizing every opportunity to care for animals, which sparked my passion to start my own pet sitting business. What started as a job quickly transformed into a heartfelt passion as I developed deep connections with the pets I cared for. My competitive nature has fueled my dedication to providing exceptional care, ensuring that both the animals and their owners experience a comfortable and stress-free environment. I put my heart into everything I do, which led me to establish Comet Pet Services—a name that honors my beloved cat Comet and features the silhouettes of my childhood dogs, Malachi and Acacia, in its logo. My entrepreneurial spirit emerged early on, transitioning from simply caring for neighbors' pets and dog walking to founding my own business. Faith is the cornerstone of my business, and I give all the glory to God for this opportunity—from starting out in pet sitting as a small endeavor to building a passionate career with Comet Pet Services, seeing it through from the beginning to where it stands today. My ultimate aim is to impact lives and spread the love of Christ through my pet sitting business because it's more than just caring for animals; it's about forging meaningful connections with others.
I have been working with animals of all kinds since childhood. Growing up with my own dogs instilled in me a deep love and understanding of the bond between pets and their owners. In addition to dogs, I have experience with a variety of animals, including farm animals, reptiles, household pets, and fish. My passion for animal care allows me to form strong connections with pets, treating them as if they were my own. I have also worked with elderly and medicated animals, gaining valuable experience in administering medications and insulin shots. Additionally, my experience with energetic younger animals has equipped me to manage and care for pets in diverse circumstances. I find pet sitting immensely rewarding, as it gives me the chance to share my passion for animals and appreciate the unique traits that each pet has to offer.

This background has allowed me to adapt my care approach to suit the needs of all kinds of animals. My experience extends beyond household pets; helping my grandparents on their ranch has deepened my love for farm animals, giving me hands-on experience with horses, goats, cows, and more. Additionally, I have cared for various reptiles, including geckos, turtles, and snakes. This broad spectrum of experience has equipped me with the skills to manage and care for animals with different temperaments and requirements. I genuinely enjoy pet sitting, as it allows me to connect with all the wonderful pets I meet and provide them with the loving care they deserve.

I have been working with a variety of pets for 8 years. My experience with dogs ranges from handling large breeds like Great Danes to small breeds like Chihuahuas. I have experience with administering diabetes shots, ensuring that pets with special medical needs receive the proper care. Additionally, I have worked with high energy dogs that require lots of activity and elderly dogs that need a more gentle and patient approach. Beyond dogs, I have also worked with cats, providing them with the care and attention they need. My experience extends to reptiles as well, showcasing my ability to cater to the unique needs of different types of pets. This wide range of experience has equipped me with the skills to manage and care for animals with various temperaments and requirements. I truly love pet sitting and find incredibly rewarding to care for and bond with so many animals.
